About The Position

Glen Raven, a global leading manufacturer of performance fabrics, is seeking candidates for an Electro/Mechanical Technician with Welding experience. This position is for the 1st shift, with regular hours from 7 am to 3 pm, and will include weekend work. Applicants must be flexible with their work schedule. The starting pay rate is $27.64 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and training. Candidates must possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be able to interpret schematics, and weld various metals and alloys. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills and traits with at least 3 years of experience installing and welding structural and piping systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to interpret schematics
Ability to weld various metals and alloys
At least 3 years of experience installing / welding structural and piping systems
Proficiency with hand tools
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems
Performing preventive maintenance tasks
Plumbing
Carpentry
Ability to layout and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems based on construction drawings and specifications
Measure and cut materials to specifications
Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method based on requirements
Ability to select the appropriate welding materials to join metals together
Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and arc welding
Proficiency in welding carbon and stainless-steel pipe
Proficiency in soldering and brazing copper pipe
Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
Evaluate and inspect welded surfaces, structures, and components to discover flaws
Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies using forklift
Experienced in operating aerial lifts
Time management skills
Good organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Teamwork
Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends
Self-starter needing minimal direction
