About The Position

Be the go-to multicraft technician for industrial power, controls, and automation. You’ll execute PMs, troubleshoot complex faults, and ensure code-compliant installations across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass the Ramsay Assessment (60 mechanical + 60 electrical questions).
  • Dependable attendance; strong work ethic; self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize independently.
  • Ability to stand 8 hours per day and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE and work a rotating shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school graduates in Electrical Systems, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Machining (mill, lathe, grinder, saw, drill) and welding (TIG, stick).
  • Blueprint/schematic literacy across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Plumbing skills including threading and soldering.
  • Mechanical: gears, pulleys, chains, belts, shafts, industrial gearboxes, water pumps, air compressors; HVAC a plus.
  • Electrical: AC/DC motors and drives, 480V three‑phase, transformers, control power, relays.
  • Pneumatic: valves, controls, pressure/flow management, cylinders.
  • Hydraulic: valves, controls, pressure/flow management, cylinders.
  • Electronic/controls: ladder logic, PLC programming (C programming a plus).
  • HVAC PLC troubleshooting, programming, and wiring
  • Electrical and equipment troubleshooting
  • Soldering
  • Single- and three-phase power 120/208/240/480V systems
  • Hydraulics experience

Responsibilities

  • Check maintenance queues and repair status using a computer-based system.
  • Diagnose malfunctions with meters, schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and electrical circuits.
  • Execute mechanical maintenance and repairs; fabricate and weld brackets as needed.
  • Install/terminate power and control wiring to machines, breakers, transformers, and components (low to high voltage).
  • Locate and correct failures in transformers, motors, lighting, and related apparatus; replace damaged wiring/cable.
  • Use construction power tools, precision measuring devices, and test equipment safely.
  • Inspect for hazards/defects and ensure compliance with applicable codes.
  • Create sketches or follow blueprints to plan equipment/wiring locations and verify safety/building code conformance.
  • Install conduit and wiring; troubleshoot systems to root cause using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Work at heights (ladders, scaffolds, roofs) to install, maintain, and repair equipment and wiring.
  • Escalate and advise when continued operation could be hazardous.
  • Follow SQF requirements and all facility safety rules, including PPE.
