About The Position

Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for their next Electro-Mechanical Technician. Our technicians are highly proficient in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, multimeters, meggers, and other diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems (24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC, 4–20mA). Install, size, commission, and maintain electrical components and cabling. Troubleshoot and support automation and controls systems (PLCs, I/O, VFDs, HMIs, fieldbus networks). Maintain and configure VFDs (SEW, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze). Start, jog, test, and return equipment to service following repairs. Perform preventative maintenance and document all work completed. Repair, install, and dismantle machinery, including work at heights and use of mobile equipment. Create, update, and maintain electrical and technical documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in electromechanics, industrial electrical, or a related field.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and reload PLC programs from backup.
  • Experience with industrial VFDs and automation networks (Profibus, Profinet, ASi).
  • Knowledge of industrial safety systems (E-Stops, light curtains, safety relays).
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general industrial electronics.
  • Basic networking knowledge (Ethernet, IP addressing, switches).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing or plant integration experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
