KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Electro-Mechanical Technician The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and plant equipment, including advanced electrical, mechanical and automated systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform technical repairs. While reporting to a Maintenance Manager, the technician must exercise independent judgment in diagnosing issues, making repairs, and adjusting equipment and process parameters. The scope of work spans from routine tasks to specialized work involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation, electrical and robotic systems as part of a Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Tech with extensive electronic and mechanical Skills.
  • Two-Year associate’s degree in electronic technology or relevant degree.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and maximize up time.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to quickly resolve issues and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs and complex control systems by performing detailed troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage and equipment performance in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve maintenance strategies and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications to improve efficiency and extend asset life.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and provide timely status updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Team Leader.
