About The Position

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you’ll be part of our team located in Elyria, OH. You’ll get to: Layout, install and maintain a wide variety of conventional and computerized electrical/electronic and accessories and plant properties. Diagnose and remedy all electrical/electronic problems and troubleshooting as required. Capability to program, maintain and troubleshoot PLC programs. Any electrical work performed must comply with city, state and federal regulations. Must be able to mechanically and electrically/electronically assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild and overhaul any machine in shop. Also, rebuild or repair or install any parts in machine components. Perform a variety of bench and machining operations on various parts. Hold close tolerances. Operates lathes, grinders, milling machines and all machine shop equipment. Transport hazardous material within company property. Operate and handle electrical/electronic measuring and monitoring equipment.

Requirements

  • Journeyman’s Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Technician papers or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
  • Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
  • Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with hand tools and power tools preferred.
