About The Position

Furmano Foods is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance repairs and troubleshooting and support food production and labeling operations. The role includes completing work orders for planned projects and responding to breakdowns, failures, and repairs. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. No related experience is required for candidates who have completed an Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, a certified apprenticeship program, or applicable military training verified by DD214; otherwise, at least three years of related electro-mechanical experience is required. The position is full-time and based at one location in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. The scheduled shift is 2nd shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., typically Monday through Friday, though workdays may vary by season and Saturdays are very often scheduled. Twelve-hour shifts may be required during busy periods, and overtime is available or expected as needed.

Requirements

• No related experience is required for candidates with an Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, completion of a Certified Apprenticeship Program, or applicable DD214-verified military training; otherwise, a minimum of three years of related electro-mechanical experience is required.
• Extensive Allen-Bradley PLC technical knowledge, including programming and ladder logic.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of high voltage and three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to replace motors, drives, and mechanical drive train components.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to commute to Northumberland, PA 17857.
