About The Position

Brooks Instrument, a leader in flow and pressure instrumentation, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician for its headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. This role will support the Variable Area team by fabricating and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment for testing and calibration, and by addressing technical issues in the production and testing of VA meters. Brooks Instrument is a division of ITW, a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer with a global presence.

Requirements

  • Basic troubleshooting equipment and mechanical assembly tools.
  • Handle and install valves, tubing, and fittings.
  • Experience connecting PC systems, DAQ hardware, communication ports, and instrumentation is required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools is required.
  • CAD experience is required (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with the skills to set up and utilize various mechanical and electronic laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to get along with others in a team environment and to follow all safety procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Technical Associates degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and document test fixtures for use in VA meter production and testing.
  • Decipher electronic, mechanical schematics and flow diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and validate correct operation of test equipment.
  • Document procedures for assembling and testing of VA meters.
  • Procure components, including searching catalogs, requesting quotes, and completing purchase requisitions.
  • Resolve VA Engineering tickets and GEMBA level tasks affecting manufacturing order completion.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
