Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer

RMSL•Littleton, CO
•$97,000 - $130,000•Onsite

About The Position

Rocky Mountain Scientific Laboratory (RMSL) is hiring an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer for its Chemical Processing Department in Littleton, Colorado. The role is part of an integrated team developing and scaling energetic-material manufacturing and processing systems, including remotely operated and fully automated production lines. The engineer will lead electrical design and integration for complex processes involving interconnected stations, robotic subsystems, and centralized control panels. Reporting to the Chemical Processing Group Manager, this position will help define and implement electrical architecture, documentation, and integration strategies for automated manufacturing systems. The position combines electrical controls engineering, mechanical design, system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project engineering. The engineer will collaborate with other engineers through design, build, evaluation, and commissioning, and will mentor or supervise junior engineers or technicians. The role requires work in a lab/test environment, occasional travel to Texas and other sites for commissioning and testing (5–10%), and overtime when needed to meet mission-critical goals and timelines. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to start within three weeks of an offer. The position requires lifting up to 25 pounds.
