About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Assembler B (Chip Detector) to join our team in Glenolden, PA! The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler assembles and/or test components using tools and fixtures while working from manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in mechanical or electrical assemblies
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six months blueprint reading
  • Minimum six months soldering experience
  • Technical School or completion of an Apprenticeship preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro-mechanical components.
  • Use machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.
  • Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.
  • Make a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.
  • Use equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to in-process test parts during assembly.
  • Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.
