About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Assembler B (Chip Detector) to join our team in Glenolden, PA! The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler assembles and/or test components using tools and fixtures while working from manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in mechanical or electrical assemblies
Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

Minimum six months blueprint reading
Minimum six months soldering experience
Technical School or completion of an Apprenticeship preferred
Soldering
Blueprint reading
Measuring with basic instruments
Strong communication
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Follow work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro-mechanical components.
Use machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.
Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.
Make a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.
Use equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to in-process test parts during assembly.
Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.
