Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to support and oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical production equipment while providing day-to-day leadership and support to the maintenance team. The Maintenance Lead serves as a key resource for maintenance personnel, production teams, and other departments to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe, productive work environment. This position may also assume supervisory responsibilities during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or during off-shift operations.

Requirements

Minimum EM1 level experience, with EM2-level experience preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience working with industrial machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to coordinate personnel and resources to meet production objectives.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to read, understand, and apply technical information.
Basic computer skills, including: Work order management, Inventory data entry, Email communication, Maintenance tracking systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership, lead technician, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs.
Familiarity with inventory management and parts procurement.

Responsibilities

Provide daily guidance and support to maintenance team members.
Coordinate maintenance work activities and prioritize repair requests.
Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues during assigned shifts.
Communicate equipment concerns and operational issues to management and maintenance staff.
Act as a liaison between Maintenance, Production, Shipping, and Sales departments.
Report shift activities, issues, and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Step into a supervisory role when needed.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical production equipment.
Assist in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
Support preventive maintenance (PM) programs and planned maintenance schedules.
Help ensure production equipment is operating efficiently to meet manufacturing goals.
Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.
Assist in identifying and sourcing replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
Coordinate with purchasing personnel to order required materials.
Support the management and maintenance of spare parts inventory.
Work to minimize production downtime through proactive planning.
Promote and enforce safe work practices and company safety policies.
Ensure employees follow proper machine operation and forklift procedures.
Assist in conducting routine safety meetings.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Support quality standards by ensuring maintenance work is completed accurately and effectively.
