About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer for the Cherry Valley Hotel. Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a hotel maintenance position is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods; bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery; visually inspect machines; and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• One year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
