About The Position

MUSC/Florence, SC is seeking a full-time licensed electrician to join their skilled team. The role involves coordinating and performing all electrical services, equipment maintenance, and related work within the facility. Responsibilities include maintaining and requesting necessary parts and materials for repairs and projects, testing and documenting emergency generator performance, ensuring scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) are completed monthly, coordinating patching and painting, and scheduling/performing monthly fire drills in accordance with TJC and DHEC standards. The electrician will perform all duties required to maintain a high-quality and safe environment for patient care. This position is primarily based in Florence, SC, but will also provide support to the Marion, SC and BlackRiver/Cades, SC facilities.

Requirements

High School Degree or Equivalent
3 years of applicable work experience
Applicable licensure within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform all electrical service, equipment, and work in the facility.
Maintain and request the appropriate parts and material for repairs and projects.
Test and maintain all the documentation on the emergency generators.
Assign and ensure that all the schedule PMs are completed every month.
Coordinate all the patching and painting in all the facility.
Schedule and perform monthly fire drills in accordance with TJC and DHEC standards.
Perform all duties that are required to keep a high quality and a safe environment of patient care.
