About The Position

JLL is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician for 2nd or 3rd shift at our client's automotive production facility. This position requires maintenance and troubleshooting expertise in an industrial setting.

Requirements

  • Must be a current union member or willing to join the union
  • High school diploma or GED
  • State of Michigan or UAW Journeyman's Electrician License
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of trade experience
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful situations
  • Self-directed with ability to work without direct supervision
  • Available for call-in work when required
  • Ability to perform physical activities including bending, standing, climbing, and walking
  • Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in building maintenance
  • Understanding of and compliance with Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and alter electrical services, equipment, and controls using approved materials and properly sized wire, conduit, raceways, and equipment
  • Perform work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Apply NFPA 70E standards and wear appropriate Arc Flash PPE when working on equipment
  • Work with both high and low-voltage systems to troubleshoot and repair
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in safe, efficient, and clean operating condition
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Report equipment needing repair or any unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Efficiently operate hand/power tools, test instruments, and equipment required for the trade
  • Assist with other duties, including work of other trades as required
