About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair of a variety of machinery and equipment within our facility. Requirements

  • Valid Electrician Certificate of Qualification (309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician or 442A Industrial Electrician) required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment and electrical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, lockout/tagout procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and industrial safety standards.
  • Strong technical skills in electrical controls and automation, including PLC troubleshooting, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, hoist cranes, motors, and control systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial facility systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and the ability to coordinate and monitor work performed by external contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, machinery, automated systems, and plant facilities to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures involving PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, relays, motor controls, VFDs, conveyors, and other automated manufacturing systems to minimize downtime.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs, identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects, including machinery upgrades, modifications, and optimization of existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and regulatory standards by following lockout/tagout procedures, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and collaborating with production, engineering, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
