About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair of a variety of machinery and equipment within our facility. Requirements

Valid Electrician Certificate of Qualification (309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician or 442A Industrial Electrician) required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment and electrical systems.
Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, lockout/tagout procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and industrial safety standards.
Strong technical skills in electrical controls and automation, including PLC troubleshooting, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, hoist cranes, motors, and control systems.
Working knowledge of industrial facility systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and the ability to coordinate and monitor work performed by external contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, machinery, automated systems, and plant facilities to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Diagnose and resolve equipment failures involving PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, relays, motor controls, VFDs, conveyors, and other automated manufacturing systems to minimize downtime.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs, identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects, including machinery upgrades, modifications, and optimization of existing systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and regulatory standards by following lockout/tagout procedures, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and collaborating with production, engineering, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
