The position will be based out of Cottage Grove but will travel to Allina Health Clinics within Twin Cities Area for project based work. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) position with 10-hour day/evening/night shifts and occasional weekends.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as an Electrician (in a Hospital environment preferred).
  • Electrician - MN Department of Labor & Industry required MN Class A Journeyman upon hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment if working in a clinic setting.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Vocational or Technical Training in Electrical or Electronics
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in motors and motor controls, construction, fire, and security, HVAC systems
  • Electrician - MN Department of Labor & Industry preferred MN Class A Master

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair and replace equipment and components associated with the facilities electrical system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Perform daily operation, inspect, maintain, repair or assist in the repair of the buildings Energy Management System, Building Automated System, Fire Alarm System, and Lighting Systems.
  • Complete service calls (repairs and maintenance) in a timely manner.
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
  • Maintain a safe and secure electrical environment.
  • May install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems.
  • May install safety and distribution components.
  • Keep electrical supplies ready by checking stock and anticipating needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
