About The Position

East Penn Manufacturing, a world class leader in lead-acid battery manufacturing, is seeking experienced Electricians. Join our world class maintenance team where precision, safety, and innovation drive success. The ideal candidate has experience in general electrical maintenance in an industrial environment. Medium voltage experience is a plus. Opportunities available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Maintenance shifts may include days on the weekend. Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunities for overtime. Average starting wages ranging from $33-$37 per hour. Pay rates are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training. Plus a $5,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing electrical work is preferred.
  • Skilled in conduit bending, wiring, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment and hand tools safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: AC/DC Electrical Systems, Electrical Control Wiring Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Motor Control, Electro-Fluid Power Systems, Electronic Sensors, Basic Mechanical Drive Systems, Occasional Welding, Basic and Precision Measuring (electrical and mechanical), Shop Equipment (saws, grinders, presses, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Medium voltage experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage systems, tools, and safety procedures; not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical systems.
  • Perform maintenance and installation on electrical distribution systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery and facility systems.
  • Repair, rebuild, and replace electrical components and parts for industrial manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
  • Install conduit and wiring systems according to specifications and safety codes.
  • Conduct general electrical maintenance and inspections to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs.
