About The Position

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Electrician who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Service Supervisor. The role involves efficiently and safely installing, maintaining, and removing electrical circuitry and activities of presses, furnaces, and other plant equipment and systems. This includes general electrical maintenance such as lighting, alarm systems, refrigeration, ventilation, motors, air conditioning, and other circuitry. The Electrician will be expected to know and follow procedures applicable to the job classification, legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information including print and design changes, and effectively utilize measuring equipment to ensure control conditions. The position also requires providing active input to continuous process improvement, effectively communicating job-related information, maintaining cooperative relationships with other functional areas, and maintaining tools and instruments. Additionally, the role may involve performing other tasks as requested, participating in the training of others, and assisting in writing or revising procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform work using trade knowledge within the National Electrical Code and that specific to Keystone Engineering Standards.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of post-high school electrical education or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
  • Understands and uses higher levels of math such as trigonometry.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and safely perform general electrical maintenance (such as lighting, alarms systems, refrigeration, ventilation, motors, air conditioning and other circuitry).
  • Know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
  • Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information, including print and design changes.
  • Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.
  • Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
  • Effectively communicate job-related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
  • Maintain tools and instruments that are used on the job.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.
  • Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.
  • Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
