About The Position

The primary role of an electrician is to install, wire, maintain & perform preventive maintenance and repairs to electric equipment some of which are noted below in all surface and underground areas: Shops, warehouse, sub-level. Troubleshoot and repair ventilation fans, lighting and electric/hydraulic equipment, phone systems and all mine communication systems, PLC and other advanced or automation systems, High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage installation and equipment. Assist with repairs and maintenance to all underground sub-stations. Assist with fabrication of electrical panels and other necessary installation of electrical cables, when required. Requirements

Electrician trade certification or equivalent experience
Experience with High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems
Experience with PLC and automation systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various electrical equipment
Willingness to work in a remote camp setting
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Must pass a drug test and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Experience in a mining environment
Experience with mine communication systems
