About The Position

As an Industrial Electrician based in Jacksonville, FL, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment supporting industrial and commercial facilities. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license (State of Florida) or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience, including work in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and OSHA electrical safety standards
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with industrial electrical work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and, where applicable, a drug screening in accordance with client and project requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program preferred
  • Experience with motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems preferred
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard electrical testing equipment

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, controls, switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute work
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic testing to identify electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging, etc.)
  • Install conduit, cable trays, wiring, and related electrical infrastructure in accordance with NEC and site-specific standards
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime
  • Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems
  • Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety protocols
  • Complete required documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure work is completed on schedule
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and perform after-hours or on-call work as needed
