About The Position

At Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM), our facilities power a large-scale retail, warehouse, distribution, and operations environment. We’re looking for a licensed Electrician who brings strong troubleshooting skills, supports facility reliability, and helps keep our business running safely, efficiently, and with confidence every day.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Master Electrician License or Electrical Contractor License required
7+ years of commercial, industrial, facility, manufacturing, distribution, or large-scale retail electrical experience required
Advanced knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safe work practices required
Experience troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic control systems required
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings required
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check

Responsibilities

Oversee: Take ownership of troubleshooting electrical systems, including power distribution, panels, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, motor controls, lighting controls, building automation, and HVAC electrical controls
Restore: Repair and maintain facility electrical systems that support safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations
Connect: Install conduit, wiring, controls, equipment, and system upgrades that align with NEC requirements and company standards
Manage: Partner with contractors, Facilities leadership, and maintenance team members to support projects and resolve complex issues
Check: Inspect completed work, identify reliability risks, and recommend long-term corrective actions that strengthen performance
Lead: Mentor maintenance team members through coaching, training, and hands-on technical support
