About The Position

ABM is seeking an Electrician to join their team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in accordance with specifications and codes. The Electrician will also be responsible for system upgrades, emergency services, ensuring compliance with regulations, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with other tradespeople. Additionally, the role may include non-electrical duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
Valid electrician license as required by the state.
Proven experience as a licensed electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems.
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical capability for tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install electrical systems and components in accordance with specifications and codes.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and efficiency.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues promptly and effectively.
Recommend and implement upgrades for improved performance and energy efficiency.
Respond to emergency calls to mitigate hazards and restore functionality.
Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and obtain necessary permits.
Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine system layouts.
Communicate clearly with clients, addressing questions and concerns.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment manuals.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers for successful project completion.
Non Electrical job duties assigned as needed. (snow removal, plowing, etc.)
