This role involves troubleshooting commercial electrical systems, circuits, relays, starters, disconnects, and power/control wiring. The electrician will install, wire, start up, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for various HVAC equipment. Responsibilities include conduit installation and bending for EMT, rigid, and PVC, as well as diagnosing electrical issues using meters and field testing. The position supports HVAC equipment start-up, retrofit work, service repairs, and controls installation projects, collaborating with controls technicians on wiring verification and system checks. The role requires reading and interpreting electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel drawings, control drawings, and mechanical plans. Familiarity with 120/208/480V electrical systems, panels, disconnects, starters, motor controls, VFDs, control panels, and HVAC equipment is essential. Experience with BAS/controls wiring, low-voltage circuits, sensors, actuators, DDC controllers, and BACnet devices is also part of the scope.
