About The Position

The Electrical Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes. The role may also involve installing or servicing streetlights, intercom systems, and electrical control systems. The position works across multiple job sites and may involve indoor and outdoor work in varying weather, temperatures, noise levels, and heights.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in the electrical field, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems.
• Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may need to complete additional background checks, such as DMV or criminal history checks.
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Must be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned.
• Must correctly identify all colors of color-coded cables and wires and have close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Prior military experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, the NEC, and specifications.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
