About The Position

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a motivated, career-minded Electrical Mechanic to join its expanding team. The Electrical Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes. The role may also involve installing or servicing streetlights, intercom systems, and electrical control systems. The employee reports to multiple assigned job sites and works with minimal supervision. This position has no supervisory responsibility. Final compensation depends on experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factors. Requirements

2–5 years of experience in the electrical field, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems.
Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to complete additional background checks, such as DMV or criminal-history checks.
Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Must be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned.
Must correctly identify all colors of color-coded cables and wires and have close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Prior military experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system compatibility and safety.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools and testing equipment.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Interpret blueprints, the NEC, and specifications.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
Perform other duties as assigned.
