Requirements

  • Current resident of Wisconsin.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, able to be maintained throughout employment.
  • Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid State of Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician License.
  • At least five (5) years of Journeymen Electrical experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Basic knowledge of mapping software, such as Google Maps and GIS.
  • Willing and able to be on call and work various schedules.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Routine and emergency repairs of electrical systems and equipment including, but not limited to, wiring, equipment, fixtures, generators, appliances, Fire Alarms and other related items.
  • Perform inspections of department assets for functionality, maintenance, and code compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various equipment, control systems, circuits, underground wiring, lighting, and other related equipment.
  • Utilize electronic work order system as well as other computer related programs.
  • Inventory and purchase supplies, review blueprints, building codes and technical manuals.
  • Assist with plan reviews, project management, maintain logs, and ensure safety codes and regulations are followed.
  • Locate and identify buried utilities accurately and efficiently.
  • Work with other trades and outside vendors in the repair and maintenance of various equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
