About The Position

The electrician installs, verifies, modifies, repairs and maintains electrical components and connections in industrial environments, to ensure safe installations that meet construction standards. Particular attention will be paid to the optimal installation of our solutions and product range to make our customers' operations more reliable.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Professional Studies in Electricity (DEP)
  • "Journeyman" electrical competency card
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Available to travel throughout Eastern Canada
  • Safe worker with a Health Safety Environment approach by choice, who clearly demonstrates commitment to Laurentide and customer safety rules and guidelines
  • Accountable for the quality of deliverables and the efficient completion of the mandate
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and tenacity in finding solutions and achieving expected results
  • Take initiatives to improve knowledge and quality of work, and add value to interventions
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment
  • Work and communicate effectively as part of a team in a courteous and professional manner
  • Respect requirements (deadlines and data reliability) when writing various reports
  • Communication skills, written and verbal, in French
  • English proficiency to serve clients in Atlantic Canada and interact with US suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Install, verify, modify, repair and maintain electrical components and connections in industrial environments.
  • Ensure safe installations that meet construction standards.
  • Optimize the installation of solutions and product range to make customer operations more reliable.
  • Read and interpret installation drawings and specifications.
  • Take necessary safety precautions.
  • Install supports and assembly anchors, channels and ducts, cables, and pipes (underground and surface-mounted).
  • Prepare and install pipes (on or in concrete, walls, ceilings, floors, etc.).
  • Insert and pull cables and conductors in conduits.
  • Install automated and control systems for industrial and building equipment.
  • Make final connections in control cabinets.
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive and/or corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Find solutions to customer problems.
  • Perform preventive thermography of electrical equipment and cabinets.
