About The Position

As an Electrician, under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of industrial electrical equipment and systems in the Refinery. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 5 years or more of industrial electrician work experience
  • Required to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Willing and able to, with or without reasonable accommodations: Climb ladders and/or stairs, Climb up to 250 feet within caged ladder, Lift up to 50 pounds, To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time, Work overtime; including emergency callouts, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts when required, Perform work at heights, below grade (sumps), and in confined spaces, Work in all weather conditions, Wear personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, hardhat, safety glasses, eye protection, goggles, fire retardant clothing, steel toed boots, gloves, gas monitor, fall protection, etc., Maintain your face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in electrical
  • Work experience with low to medium voltage motors, motor control circuits, and variable speed drives.
  • Familiar with NEC requirements for hazardous locations
  • Familiar with the use and compliance of the NEC and NFPA 70E
  • Beginner or greater proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of new or repaired electrical equipment.
  • Ensuring all electrical equipment and systems support the operating requirements in all areas including safety, quality, productivity, capacity and reliability daily.
  • Troubleshoot and solve electrical problems safely following safe work practices and using the appropriate tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Use of the computer maintenance management system for equipment documentation information.
