About The Position

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all facility machinery and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills. This role involves working with outside vendors, utilizing analytical reasoning for electrical and hydraulic systems, and performing preventative maintenance. The position requires prioritizing daily activities, collaborating with other mechanics, and ensuring the facility runs efficiently. The Electrician will also be responsible for cleaning up work areas and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and electrical skills.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, machining, hydraulics, building maintenance schematics.
  • Previous maintenance experience with industrial production systems, plumbing, control systems, welding, fabrication, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to operate a Drill Press, Power/Hand Tools, Measuring Equipment and Test Equipment such as a voltmeter.
  • Ability to pay exceptional attention to detail and have the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time.
  • Basic computer skills and PLC knowledge.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of personnel.
  • Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment.
  • Electrician/Journeyman License.

Nice To Haves

  • Apprenticeship or Associates Degree preferred or certificate of training to demonstrate qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all required safety standards and procedures.
  • Follow required environmental standards and procedures.
  • Repair and maintain all facility machinery and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors to initiate and implement equipment and facility repair.
  • Utilize analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills to examine, repair and/or detect issues with machinery or equipment for repair on hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Inspect, observe, and examine mechanical devices in operation to determine root cause of problem and if necessary, dismantle or adjust devices to repair to specifications.
  • Provide recommendations or modifications to processes and procedures and collaborate with other maintenance mechanics to increase machine efficiency & up time.
  • Prioritize daily activities to ensure completion of responsibilities and to keep the facility running.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment.
  • Clean up and put away tools, parts, etc., at the completion of each job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
