About The Position

IMA Life North America, a company within the IMA Group, specializes in providing aseptic processing and freeze-drying solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This role involves reading and interpreting electrical schematics and assembly drawings to build systems in compliance with NEC, UL, CSA, and other applicable codes. The electrician will work hands-on at a bench or directly on freeze dryers to perform wiring, layout, and system integration safely. This includes assembling and laying out mechanical components such as power cabinets, control cabinets, and sub-panels, and testing wiring and systems before and during power-up. Effective communication with engineering and support for cross-functional manufacturing activities are essential. The role also requires guiding electrical assembly work to ensure safety and quality standards are met. This position involves working at heights and in confined spaces, as well as tasks requiring bending, climbing, or lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in electrical work (industrial or equipment assembly preferred).
  • Strong electrical aptitude and hands-on skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a job shop environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) standards.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to learn additional technical skills and support off-site installations or preventive maintenance.
  • Trade school training.
