About The Position

HEARTLAND FABRICATION, LLC located in Brownsville, Pennsylvania is seeking an Electrician for a full-time permanent paid position. This role involves participating in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance, and repairs of electrical appliances, systems, facilities, and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity. The electrician will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the plant manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design
• Experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures from blueprints, schematics and sketches or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Extensive knowledge of Lock Out safety policies and procedures
• Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively
• Lift tools, machinery parts
• Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling and reaching
• Ability to climb ladders

Responsibilities

• Participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Interpret blueprints and follow manufacturers’ specifications
• Troubleshoot manufacturing machines
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Work with AC and DC Circuits 120 thru 480 AC voltage and 240 DC voltage
• Assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and facilities
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work
