Requirements

  • Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams and schematics.
  • Advance skills in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently.
  • Expertise in using various electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, and hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of 480 volt, three-phase AC, 240/500 VDC. VFD and PLC.
  • In-depth understanding of the NEC and local electrical codes to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Knowledge in OSHA safety programs such as LO/TO, Arc Flash, Confined Space Entry, Proper PPE, Machine Safety and plant wide safety awareness.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure safe working environments.
  • Follow best practices for installing and maintaining electrical systems to prevent accidents, including proper grounding, circuit protection, and adherence to specific guidelines.
  • Emergency preparedness by having a clear plan in place, knowing how to shut off power quickly.
  • 3-5 years of on the job experience in the trained area, or the successful completion of a technical program in electrical training.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually to complete projects.
  • Ability to work nights with the possibility of day shift openings as they become available.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing is preferred.
