About The Position
Electricians are responsible for the layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ships power. Electricians utilize an assortment of hand and power tools, a variety of test equipment along with a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings, and schematics.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of shipboard experience in sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc.
- Ability to read marine blueprints
- Ability to work from standard and metric specifications
- Wiring hook up and fiber optics experience
- Ability to work any shift
- Ability to pass a drug screen (HFT) and background check
