Requirements

  • Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Certification
  • Must have general knowledge of all related maintenance functions.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years electrical experience in a manufacturing plant required.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and controls.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong command of verbal and written skills.
  • Eager to learn and to train others.
  • Commissioning & troubleshooting of automated equipment.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine PM’s and equipment inspections
  • Familiar with Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot minor and major repair of all CNC Machines & Robotics
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
  • Devising viable plans for electrical installations
  • Inspecting and maintaining existing electrical systems
  • Ensuring that electrical system in buildings comply with local electrical codes and safety standards
  • Provide preliminary planning, sketches, and estimates for installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Training and supervising new hires on the intricacies of electrical installation standards as required
  • Interpreting and reading blueprints and electrical drawings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Perform appropriate lockouts before completing any electrical work.
  • Wear all required PPE while in plant.
  • Work safe & ergonomically by following H&S policies.
  • Report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents across the plant.
  • Report accidents, near misses, injuries, or illnesses immediately to your supervisor.
  • Inspect equipment and the workplace regularly.
  • Be alert for hazards.
