About The Position

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, industrial and residential electrical work and possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, components, safety procedures/protocols and building codes. This role involves working on construction, commercial, industrial and residential sites reading blueprints and ensuring that all electrical installations and/or repairs comply with the National Electrical Code.

Requirements

Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics and blueprints
Familiarity with power tools and equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and safety pro

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations are a plus
Experience with both low voltage and high voltage systems is preferred

Responsibilities

Repairs, installation of electrical systems
Repair and install lighting and power distribution systems
Utilize ammeters and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
Perform new construction and renovations
Perform electrical safety inspections/practices
Ensure work is done in accordance with the National Electrical Code and in a professional manner
Perform other duties as may be required by supervisor
Work with both low voltage and high voltage systems as required
Collaborate with construction teams on-site to coordinate electrical work with other trades
Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions
Provide guidance on frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations/repairs
Install Stand-by Generators
Wire new and remodel residential projects
Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
Perform general electrical maintenance
