This role involves performing electrical work on industrial construction sites. The electrician will be responsible for practicing safety rules, following instructions, using hand and power tools safely, and assisting supervisors. Key duties include performing terminations up to 1500V ac and dc, installing underground cabling and conduits, reading construction drawings, understanding specifications, and having a basic understanding of electrical systems. The position also requires the ability to run basic electrical test equipment, work with and mentor helpers, and comply with company policies regarding drug and alcohol abuse and physical examinations. The role involves physical demands such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, working at elevated heights and in confined spaces, carrying tools and materials up to 50 lbs, and standing or walking for long periods on uneven surfaces. Additionally, the electrician must be able to work extended hours and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
