About The Position

Fluor is a leading government contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-value technical solutions around the world to U.S. government agencies such as the DOE, NNSA, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. This role performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves installing or repairing electrical equipment, working from schematics, blueprints, and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment. The position requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. This position requires a rotating shift schedule in support of a 24hr x 7d facility. Secondary responsibilities include the installation of communications components and cabling infrastructures and other construction trades as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent
  • A minimum of 42 months verifiable, directly related work experience, typically as Electrician Helper / Apprentice with 2 years performed under a Journeyman or Master Electrician, is required.
  • Journeyman's Electrical License
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (I.e., ability to use email, internet, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, to effectively conduct company business on the program). Some positions may require an increased level of computer knowledge, depending on the required duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
  • Work involves installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
  • Working from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
  • Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Installation of communications components and cabling infrastructures.
  • Other construction trades as deemed necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
