About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing electrical functions, ensuring compliance with safety standards, operational efficiency, and timely maintenance. The Electrician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment up to 480 volts, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of pumps, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and lighting fixtures. The position involves both emergency and routine maintenance across diverse locations such as residential, commercial, public areas, and parking garages. Key duties include diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, interpreting blueprints and schematics, inspecting work sites for safety and code compliance, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role also requires proper maintenance of tools and equipment, coordination of preventive maintenance with accurate documentation, taking precise measurements for installation, maintaining logs for vehicle usage and inventory, and recommending improvements to operational efficiency. The Electrician will also perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrician (required)
  • Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience (required)
  • Must be able to lawfully drive
  • Prior Supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and ability to perform and oversee work in compliance with code
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements related to Maintenance
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and large mechanical equipment
  • Must be available for emergency work
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of electrical functions, ensuring compliance with safety standards, operational efficiency, and timely maintenance.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment up to 480 volts.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair hot water circulating pumps up to 480 volts.
  • Install, maintain, and service ejector pumps and domestic water pumps.
  • Install new equipment, including pumps, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and lighting fixtures.
  • Perform both emergency and routine maintenance across residential, commercial, public areas, and parking garages.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and complete repairs using blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical resources.
  • Inspect work sites for safety hazards, violations, and code compliance issues, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment during and after all tasks.
  • Properly maintain tools, equipment, materials, and storage areas in accordance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance, ensuring accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Take measurements of materials and spaces to ensure precise installation and proper fit.
  • Maintain detailed logs of vehicle usage, condition, and maintenance, and report any issues to supervision. Track inventory usage and supply levels.
  • Recommend and/or implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
