The company is currently seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians for a nested maintenance crew at Pemex in Deer Park, TX. The Electrician role involves planning, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman, with duties assigned according to specific procedures and frequent checks.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
Must have a current NFPA 70e certificate of training (2024 standard)
Must have a Texas electrical apprenticeship license
Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them
Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.
Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
Pulls wiring through conduit.
Splices wires.
Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
May repair faulty equipment or systems.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
