About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electrician to inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities. The work schedule is Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 2:30am. Responsibilities include working from prints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions for emergency and scheduled repairs, as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of electrical systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems, and analyzing, troubleshooting, modifying, installing, and repairing electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments. Tasks include testing, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, dismantling, adjusting, replacing, assembling, maintaining, and lubricating all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus. The Electrician will also prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment for maintenance programs, install conduit, wiring, and electrical apparatus, read blueprints, and generate bills of materials. Other duties include maintaining part and tool inventories and directing other repair personnel as assigned. This position is classified as a Local 99 Electrician Grade 1.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
  • A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
  • High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • High school, GED, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
  • Journeyman Electrical License

Responsibilities

  • Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
  • Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests.
  • Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus.
  • Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
  • Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
  • Maintain part and tool inventories.
  • Directs other repair personnel, as assigned.
