About The Position

As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will contribute to the reliable distribution of electrical power, supporting the infrastructure that powers homes, businesses, and public facilities. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to execute precise electrical work that meets regulatory standards and safety codes. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and problem-solving to address electrical issues promptly and effectively. Ultimately, your work will ensure that electrical systems operate smoothly, minimizing downtime and enhancing the safety and functionality of the environments you serve.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
  • Valid electrician license or certification as required by state or local regulations in the United States.
  • Proven experience with electrical wiring, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour, NFPA 70E, or specialized training in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with advanced electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Prior experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to plan electrical installations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform electrical system testing and inspections to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Pull wire and install switchgear, power distribution systems, and commercial wiring components to support electrical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate electrical work within construction or renovation projects.
  • Balance electrical loads and ensure proper functioning of electrical systems to prevent outages and equipment damage.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and inspections.
