Requirements

Must be knowledgeable of national and local electrical codes
Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and appliances needed for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits, related fixtures, and hardware.
Active state or local electrician licensure (Journeyman or Master Electrician) as required for this position.
Follow maintenance instructions, schedules and inspection of work orders and other job assignments.
Perform maintenance services, diagnose systems or equipment malfunctions, and complete repairs when required.
Must have knowledge of the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.
Plan, layout, and complete the installation, modification, and repair of various electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.
Interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
Must be skilled in the use of a wide variety of test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and ohmmeter.
Maintain ability to access government worksite.
Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.
Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to plan and assign work effectively.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Perform calculations related to electrical loads, wiring requirements, and system performance.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks are completed.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
