About The Position

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work at our Dolet Hills site. This role does not require driving as part of its primary duties. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification (where applicable).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in an industrial or heavy construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and codes (NEC).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and perform effective repairs.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment, including wiring, conduit, fixtures, and control devices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems and to identify electrical problems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Identify and diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
  • Assist in the training of junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment safely and proficiently.
