About The Position

The Electrician (Non Driver) at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components, primarily within a fixed location or without the need for operating company vehicles.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification as required by local and state regulations.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety standards.
Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Plan layouts and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Work from blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Assist other electricians and tradespeople as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
