About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and safe working condition of shop and billboard-mounted electrical components and systems. The Electrician installs and repairs wiring and conduit within the scope of the National Electrical Code, maintains electrical fixtures and control equipment, and services billboard-mounted digital displays. The role involves working at elevated heights, including 60 feet or more, and in varying weather and heat conditions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of electrical experience.
• Ability to climb and work safely at elevated heights of 60 feet or more.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Licensed electrician, or able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to qualify as a qualified person in a sign/billboard work environment.
• Experience working with 120–240 volt single-phase and 208-volt three-phase systems.
• Understanding of LED lighting and billboard-mounted digital displays.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform detailed work and communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair wiring and conduit in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
• Repair and maintain electrical fixtures and control equipment, including time clocks; set and program time clocks.
• Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste and provide access for future maintenance.
• Lock disconnects when leaving a sign and use lockout/tagout procedures.
• Install lighting fixtures, relays, ballasts, breakers, disconnects, circuit breakers, and fuses.
• Identify and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and repair billboard-mounted digital displays.
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical problems.
