About The Position

This position is responsible for insuring the integrity and safe working condition of all shop and billboard mounted electrical components/systems. The role involves installation and repair of wiring and conduit, maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment, and programming time clocks. The electrician will also plan new installations to minimize waste and ensure future accessibility, install various electrical equipment, and utilize lockout/tagout procedures. Identifying and reporting unsafe conditions is crucial, as is understanding LED lighting and digital billboard displays, including their maintenance and repair.

Requirements

• 2 years minimum electrical experience
• Ability without fearing to climb and work safely at elevated heights, 60ft or more
• Read blueprints and schematic
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems
• Experience working with voltages from 120 to 240 single and 208 three phase
• Must be a licensed electrician or be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to meet the definition of a qualified person in a sign/billboard work environment

Responsibilities

• Installation and repair of wiring and conduit within the scope of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Repair and maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment (Time Clock)
• Set and program time clocks
• Plan for new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, provide access for future maintenance, and lock all disconnects when leaving sign
• Install equipment such as lighting fixtures, relays, ballast, breakers disconnects circuit breakers and fuses
• Use the lock out tag out method
• Identify and promptly report any unsafe conditions observed
• Understanding of LED lighting and billboard mounted digital displays
• Maintenance of billboard mounted digital displays, including repairs
