Electrician Helper
About The Position
The electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial, industrial and healthcare facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets and VFD’s Proficient with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations Bend conduit by hand and with benders Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company.
Requirements
- Requires the ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges
- Accurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal)
- Requires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Nice To Haves
- a technical degree or 1-3 years of experience or combination of education and/or experience is preferred
