About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for corrective, predictive, preventative and installation work related to electrical equipment and electronic controls. This role involves performing routine electrical equipment service, setup, adjustment, and repairs/modifications on plant equipment and facility. The technician will install, maintain, calibrate, and/or repair electrical and electronic equipment, including power distribution, motor control, and programmable control systems. They will also perform predictive and preventative tasks, identify and correct equipment defects, and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to work at heights and may involve working in pits and confined spaces. Due to the nature of the work, compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations is necessary, potentially requiring the applicant to be a U.S. Person.

Requirements

• Journeyman License.
• Technical training
• 5 years of experience
• Proficient at using hand tools, portable electric tools & typical shop stationary equipment
• A strong commitment to working effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely and follow safety practices and regulations
• Ability to work with no supervision or in a team to complete work on time
• Ability to work with operations to repair or solve issues
• Ability to work at heights, in pits and confined spaces
• Ability to work overtime when required

Nice To Haves

• Hydraulic knowledge a plus
• Ability to work at heights.
• PLC experience such as troubleshooting and programming
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Computer literate to plan work, identify parts and learn the computerized maintenance system for offering job materials or writing work orders
• Familiar with the principles behind hydraulic press.
• Familiar with repairing overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical equipment service, setup, adjustment, and repairs/modifications on plant equipment and facility.
• Install, maintain, calibrate, and/or repair electrical and electronic equipment including, but not limited to: power distribution, motor control, programmable control systems.
• Perform predictive & preventative tasks associated with equipment.
• Identify and correct defects in equipment during maintenance checks.
• Other duties as assigned.
