About The Position

The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs. We’re hiring an Electrician Supervisor to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park! The Electrician Supervisor will ensure projects and fixtures are completed and installed properly. They will also supervise and manage the other electricians at The Oasis at Death Valley.

Requirements

  • General Journeyman Electrician Certification
  • California Commercial Electrician Certification
  • Minimum two years documented work experience and/or trade school education.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply the National Electric Code.
  • Working knowledge of safe operation and proper maintenance of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder or boom truck up to 60 feet from ground level.
  • Ability to enter and work in crawl spaces and attics.
  • A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams that install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and power lines.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all required supplies, materials and equipment are available and working as intended.
  • Maintain safety of crew and environment.
  • Establish high-quality work practices that align with mission on employer and property.
  • Coordinate projects and maintain schedule.
  • Prepare code calculations for projects.
  • Produce and prepare sketches and layouts for projects.
  • Train new electricians on best practices and team member on property requirements.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs control circuitry and installs commercial or residential electrical equipment and appliances.
  • Installs residential or commercial wiring and services using Romex, flex, PVC and /or EMT as required per NEC code.
  • Reads and comprehends schematics and diagrams.
  • Determines load requirements.
  • Provides time and material estimates, progress reports, and other reports or information as requested.
  • Order parts and equipment as approved by the Director of Engineering.
  • All other duties as assigned.
