About The Position

Electrician apprentices complete an 8000-hr. program designed for maximum exposure to complex electrical systems. Electrician apprentices are assigned to a ship to begin coordinated work rotation involving layout/installation, hook up and test of various shipboard systems. These include light, power generation and distribution, interior communication, armament, fire control and electronics.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or have completed your GED.
  • You must provide the following information at time of Intake Interview:
  • - Original High School or G.E.D. transcripts (your diploma will not be accepted)
  • - Any college or vocational transcripts or certificates
  • - Driver's License or State ID
  • - Original Social Security Card (or form from Social Security office stating that you have applied)
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • - DD214 if former military
