About The Position

MacLellan Integrated Services is seeking an Electrician Programmer to join their team in Salem, VA. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, installing and repairing electrical conduit and wiring, and installing and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems and motors ranging from 24V up to 480V. The Electrician Programmer will also be responsible for reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting PLC and lighting systems, and working with high voltage systems in substations. The position is on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Training equivalent to journeyman status or electrical certification
  • Proficiency using maintenance planning software packages such as eMaint, MP2 or Maximo
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage time and priorities to assist with multiple projects
  • Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and 5Ss
  • Current Master Electrician License
  • High mechanical and electrical aptitude that can be demonstrated with standardized testing / or experience
  • Experience working within an industrial production and facility maintenance department

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work on both electrical and mechanical systems as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Install and repair electrical conduit and wiring.
  • Install and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems and motors ranging from 24V up to 480V.
  • Read electrical schematics.
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems and lighting systems.
  • Work with high voltage systems in substations.
  • Perform work safely both indoors and outdoors.
  • Work weekends.
  • Lift items up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in hot and damp environments, wear PPE, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
